Do you remember those days when cell phones still had buttons? When Facebook was still in its infancy and Instagram was still a long way off?

During this time, from 2006 to 2008, I traveled from Australia via Asia and the Middle East to Germany. Always with my hands on my first DSLR Camera I took a huge amount of more than 20,000 photos. I captured breathtaking landscapes, great encounters as well as the beauty of everyday moments. However, hardly anyone has seen these photos so far. While traveling, I did upload a handful of photos on StudiVZ (yes, it once was bigger than Facebook!), but for years, most of the photos slumbered on my hard drive.

Now, more than 10 years after my trip, I would like to show the resulting photos and share the experience. Therefore, under the hashtag #tbt (throwbackthursday) I will post a photo of my trip on Instagram every Thursday.
